EXCELLENCE & EQUITY

Over the past several years, PEF has engaged with our stakeholders to develop a new mission statement, vision statement, and 6 strategic priorities based on the needs of our students and how PEF is uniquely positioned to work alongside PUSD to address these needs.

Outrearch and Advocacy2

WHY?

As the past few years of adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic have proven, effective strategy and implementation mean finding a balance between maintaining a consistent strategic focus and adapting to changing circumstances.

The Pasadena Educational Foundation was established in 1971 in response to change. The court-ordered desegregation of the Pasadena Unified School District, mandatory busing, and the flight of families opposed to school integration created a need for an independent organization to support the community’s public schools.

The last five decades has seen an evolving set of challenges, organizational growth, and successes. PEF has continued to adapt and respond to the changing needs, circumstances, and opportunities in our schools and community, whether by raising money, recruiting volunteers, or by expanding student opportunities through incubating and managing new projects.

By remaining nimble, PEF will continue to be able to respond to immediate and unforseen needs, changing circumstances, and new opportunties in our district.

Join Our Community

There are many meaningful ways for members of our community to join with PEF and support our schools.

VOLUNTEER: Help support PEF initiatives, community meetings, and activities.

SPONSOR: Support an event, a program, or grants to teachers.

PARTNER: Partners collaborate with PEF to provide expertise, funding, resources, and people power to help make programs and activities happen.
